What you have to offer

- For both positions, we seek candidates who conduct high-quality research using quantitative methods with strong research potential to publish in the top-tier accounting journals.
- For one position, we seek candidates who conduct research in financial accounting and disclosure.
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate research excellence with a strong fit to the Institute’s research methods and a willingness to contribute to joint projects.
- Candidates are required to hold a PhD degree or anticipate receiving a PhD degree in the current academic year.
- Candidates need to provide an academic research paper (“job market paper”), preferably single-authored, that has been published or is publishable in a leading academic accounting journal.
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate active involvement in the international academic community, for example, through collaboration with coauthors, research visits at other universities, or presentations at leading academic conferences.
- Candidates must have completed their PhD at a university other than WU or have at least two years of postdoctoral working experience at another university, and should demonstrate international academic experience—such as a PhD from a non-Austrian university or postdoctoral work at a non-Austrian academic institution for at least two years.
- Candidates are required to be able to teach in English and are expected to commit to excellence in teaching.
- Candidates are expected to be willing to use multimedia teaching methods.
- Non-German-speaking candidates should commit to acquiring German proficiency.

The minimum monthly gross salary amounts to €5,808.20 (14 times per year). In addition, we offer a wide range of attractive social benefits.
