What to expect
- Independent research work: You will be independently gathering data, working with cooperation partners and companies to conduct research with practical relevance, and publishing your findings in top journals. With an aim to contribute to one of the institute’s areas of expertise, we require excellent knowledge of and proven experience with experimental research designs.
- Teaching: You will be planning and teaching and holding exams in courses offered by the Department, such as branding, marketing research methods, marketing consulting projects, etc.
- Student support: You will be available to answer students’ questions and act as an advisor for bachelor’s theses and as a co-advisor for master’s theses.
- Organizational and administrative support: You will be organizing and evaluating teaching activities, planning exams, keeping the budget in mind, and acquiring third-party funding.
- Learning from top researchers: You will be working together with renowned researchers in your field and learning from them.
- Teamwork: At the whole marketing department, you’ll be working to advance research in your field together with a team of more than 70 colleagues, including two third women and one third men.
- Building up a personal network: You will be using the post-doc phase to establish yourself as a researcher and expand your own professional network.
What you have to offer
- A solid academic qualification from a university in the field of business administration. You graduated with excellent grades from a doctoral degree program focusing on marketing.
- First academic papers: You have strong skills in experimental research methods and have already published research using these methods in respected marketing journals.
- Research Background: You have a strong research background in consumer behavior, ideally focusing on Branding and Brand Management as well as Groundedness research. You also know how to develop scales. We also appreciate experience with funded research projects.
- International experience: You can prove that you gained international experience during your degree program or in a professional context at another international university and speak excellent English besides your native language.
- Willingness to use multimedia teaching methods: You are prepared to use multimedia teaching and learning formats.
- IT skills: You are familiar with MS Office, SPSS and R.
- Working style: You work independently, show initiative, and have good self-organization skills.

The minimum monthly gross salary amounts to €4,932.90 (14 times per year). This salary may be adjusted based on equivalent prior work experience. In addition, we offer a wide range of attractive social benefits.
