What to expect
- Writing a dissertation: You will carry out independent research resulting in a PhD thesis in the field of financial mathematics, specifically in the area of term structure modeling.
- Research: You will be supported in developing cutting edge financial tools as well as their software implementation.
- Building up personal network: You will have the chance to meet top researchers of the field here and during travels.
What you have to offer
- MSc or diploma in applied mathematics or, alternatively, an MSc in either quantitative finance or in quantitative economics with a strong mathematical background
- Strong background in stochastics (probability theory and statistics) is desirable
- Good English as well as programming skills in R, python or C/C++
- Pedagogical and presentation skills.
German language skills are not a prerequisite. Some prior background in economics or finance is an advantage.

The minimum monthly gross salary amounts to €2,786.10 (14 times per year). This salary may be adjusted based on job-related prior work experience. In addition, we offer a wide range of attractive social benefits.
