What to expect
You will support teaching and research activities at our institute, including:
Literature and communication
- Contribute to the preparation of teaching materials, research presentations, and project reports
- Explore current academic literature and synthesize key insights for ongoing research projects
- Help translate research findings into clear summaries, briefs, and presentation materials for different audiences
Data collection and management
- Support the collection of real-world data through web scraping, APIs, and other automated workflows
- Help monitor data pipelines and ensure data quality for research and teaching projects
- Contribute to the documentation, organization, and maintenance of research datasets
Analysis and tools
- Apply statistical and analytical methods using Excel, R, Python, or similar tools
- Support data-driven research projects through exploratory analyses and practical problem-solving
- Take on more advanced analytical tasks depending on your interests, background, and development over time
What you have to offer
While we will support your onboarding into our technology stack, you should already have theoretical knowledge or practical experience in the following areas:
Required qualifications
- Ongoing bachelor’s or master’s studies, with at least two semesters remaining before graduation
- Strong academic performance, ideally in marketing, economics, information systems, data science, statistics, or a related field
- Excellent command of German and English
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to structure tasks efficiently
- A proactive mindset and a reliable, independent way of working
- Strong skills in summarizing academic literature and communicating research insights clearly
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Basic experience with at least one programming language, such as Python or R
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with analytical databases such as ClickHouse or BigQuery
- Familiarity with object storage or related data infrastructure
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies, such as LaTeX and Git
- An interest in marketing topics, especially retailing

The monthly gross salary amounts to €689.80 (for 10 hours/week) or €1,379.60 (for 20 hours/week).
