Institute for AI in Marketing Analytics
Part-time, 20 hours/week
Starting July 01, 2025, and ending after 6 months

Please note that pursuant to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, only students who have not yet completed a master or diploma degree program can be employed.
 
The Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Marketing Analytics under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Siham El Kihal is currently inviting applications for a 20 hours/week teaching and research assistant position, with flexible working hours. 
The position is designed for highly motivated students with strong analytical and programming skills, who are willing to apply those skills in a marketing context.
The position will be limited to a period of 6 months, starting in July 2025 (later starting date possible).

What to expect

As a Teaching and Research Assistant, your tasks are:
  • Assistance in current research projects: Data exploration, statistical analysis, and visualization (in R or Python, using Jupyter notebooks).
  • Supportive tasks concerning the preparation of lectures and conference presentations.
  • Participation in the administrative work at the institute.

What you have to offer

Required:
  • Ongoing bachelor or master studies at one of the Viennese universities (i.e., WU Wien, TU Wien, Uni Wien), with at least 2 semesters until graduation
  • Ideally, focus on information systems, computer science, data science, statistics, econometrics, or economics
  • Above-average studying performance
  • Experience in working with programming languages (e.g., Python or R)
 
Not required, but an asset:
  • Experience in natural language processing 
  • Experience in image analytics
  • Experience in machine learning
 
In addition, we’re looking for:
  • Proactive attitude
  • Independent and reliable task fulfillment
  • Efficient execution of organizing and structuring tasks
  • Excellent command of English
