Department of Marketing
Part-time, 10-20 hours/week
Starting April 01, 2026, and ending after 1 year

Please note that pursuant to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, only students who have not yet completed a master or diploma degree program can be employed.
 
You want to learn more about the everyday work of our department and gain unique and hands-on research experience? You would like to learn more about how to plan, design, and run experiments? This position will equip you with important skills that will open doors to either a career in business or an academic career.

What to expect

  • Research support: You will primarily support the department’s research activities by helping plan and run experiments, collecting, cleaning, and analyzing (field) data, and assisting with academic papers, presentations, and research projects in marketing and consumer behavior.
  • Learning from top researchers: You will gain first-hand insight into academic research by working closely with experienced researchers in marketing and consumer behavior—ideal preparation if you are considering a PhD.
  • Teamwork: You will work in a small and collaborative research team. While the primary focus is research, you may also support teaching and administrative activities.
  • Creativity: You will contribute to a variety of research projects and are encouraged to bring in your own ideas and creative thinking.

What you have to offer

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program: You are currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in the field of Marketing, Psychology, or Management (or related), with above-average academic success 
  • Interest in academic work: You’re interested in marketing and consumer behavior and would like to gain hands-on research experience
  • Professional experience: Ideally, you already have some initial professional experience in an academic environment 
  • Language skills: You have strong skills in spoken and written English; German is beneficial as well 
  • IT skills: You have experience with MS Office, especially Excel, and are interested in working with statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, SPSS)
  • Soft skills: You work well independently and in teams and have good communication skills; you are curious and creative
