Institute for Production Management
Part-time, 15 hours/week
Starting April 01, 2026, and ending after 8 months
 
You want to start your research in operations management and supply chains while gaining teaching experience at a leading institution? What to expect

  • Enrich or extend the teaching and research of the Institute for Production Management. 
  • Contribution to the German-language and English-language BSc programs (courses in FuB and specialization in Production Management)
  • Supervision of Bachelor Theses
  • Research: PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management
  • Collaboration on research projects at the institute (national and international)
  • Dissertation work: You may spend up to one third of your working time on dissertation-related activities (from initiating a project to research and writing)

What you have to offer

  • Academic degree: You have a master’s degree with significant depth in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Social Ecological Economics or a closely related field that qualifies you for enrollment in a doctoral program at WU.
  • At least 1-year professional experience at a recognized university
  • Potential shown to execute competitive research projects, collaboration with industry partners is expected as well
  • Research interests in industry 4.0/5.0 as well as social and ecological sustainability 
  • Teaching experience in English or German with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Willingness to use multimedia teaching methods: You are prepared to use multimedia teaching and learning formats.

The minimum monthly gross salary amounts to €1,416.04 (14 times per year). This salary may be adjusted based on job-related prior work experience. In addition, we offer a wide range of attractive social benefits.
